Jim Ruig established Salvage Building Resources and has previously established the retail companies Ironwood and The Big Red Shed.  After selling these retail companies he has focused his vast knowledge of timber throughout Australia and created the new company that is geared towards supplying timber to the construction field.  With over 20 years of experience Jim is unrivalled with his knowledge of the recycled and new timber industry, eco-sustainably grown timber, demolition processes, timber recovery, and importing timber from overseas.  This wide ranging information base combined with project experience makes Salvage Building Resources committed to providing its clients with the best timber products available.

Salvage Building Resources specialized in supplying new and recycled large hardwood timber for large and small timber construction and flooring projects in Brisbane and throughout Australia.Salvage Building Resources' office is located at 1069 Kingsford Smith Drive, Eagle Farm in Brisbane, QLD.   Hardwood Flooring and Post and Beam samples are currently on display at the Salvage Showroom at 12 Byres Street, Newstead.  Our new timber frame display is currently under construction and will be placed at the showroom as soon as it has been completed.  Our timber can be shipped inter state or overseas and has the keenest prices possible.
